The development and rise of Braeden Bowman from a player overlooked in juniors to an integral part of an NHL club is definitely one of the greatest success stories in the sport. Following his participation in four seasons with the Guelph Storm, Bowman fell victim to a blank slate from every NHL team in the draft. Determined not to let go of his dream, the player entered the Vegas Golden Knights’ 2024 development camp in the first place as an undrafted free agent and was signed to an American Hockey League contract with the Henderson Silver Knights.

While playing in the AHL, Bowman was a pleasure to all his mates as he went on to produce points. The young player managed to score 62 points in a total of 34 games while playing for the Golden Knights. However, as he was able to impress some people, it is because of this that the general manager of the Golden Knights, Kelly McCrimmon, has called him to be part of the team. The Golden Knights rookie was brought up as his captain, Mark Stone, sustained an injury and got to play 54 games in the top league this season.
Realizing how good a player he is, the Golden Knights have signed a six-year extension deal for him, which is valued at 20.4million(3.4 million AAV, which begins from the 2027-28 to 2032-33 seasons. With this contract, Vegas ensures a solid future for themselves as well as their player before entering his restricted free agency period. In this way, the team shows its belief in Bowman’s further development under Ryan Craig, head coach of the Golden Knights. This contract is confirmation of Bowman’s hard-working spirit, which turned an insignificant tryout offer into a highly paid contract in the best league in the world.
