The New York Rangers head into the 2026-27 season with their radio coverage locked in and refreshed for another year of Blueshirts hockey. The club has announced that the relationship with its main radio partner will continue to ensure that every game will be covered from opening night until the final horn with the voices and radio stations that fans know.
Familiar Voices, Steady Coverage

Alex Faust continues to be the number one force on the radio side as the lead play-by-play voice, energizing and clarifying the radio call. Dave Starman remains the leading colour analyst, bringing his extensive hockey experience to the table. The arrangement allows the shows to still be heard on the established flagship station while scheduling conflicts occur with the other option, so listeners will seldom miss a change.
But regular radio airplay is important for a franchise that has a devoted and widespread audience. The live call-in is a favorite among streaming radio’s more loyal fans, commuters, and road-trippers. That direct connection is maintained through the partnership, while also fitting into the team’s other broadcast stream, in partnership with MSG Network television.
Why Radio Still Counts
Today, with the choice to view or listen to so many things, a consistent radio home creates continuity. By retaining the core team and platform, the Rangers are showing they trust the current structure and don’t want to cause undue disruption for fans in 2026-27.
The pre-game and post-game discussions and in-game analysis are still included in a format that the audience has trusted in past seasons. The radio partnership is yet another component in the preparation for the new campaign.
The voices will be in place when the puck drops, bringing action to fans who like to listen as well as watch – and, as it has always been, that tradition continues to be alive in the Rangers experience.
